Dave's donation, plus an additional $70 sent offline and a further contribution from Cornish which is on its way pushes us ever closer to our target. If you can help, no matter how small it is, please help us reach our target!

Remember that about $3,500 worth of development and web design costs are being donated to our new website, so most of the costs have been absorbed and are being provided as an invaluable contribution towards a very worthy cause.

In addition to donations made via ChipIn, this brings the total funds received to $325. That leaves us needing $125 more to reach our target of $450 needed to upgrade Smog Chat to the level that our Founder Members have agreed to.

The site has already been transferred today and this evening, I actually switched the site over although it can take up to 24-48 hours for this to be completed.

There may some disruption but our new hosting company has promised that any problems will be kept to a minimum. In any event, I will work closely with them to ensure as smooth a transition as possible given the complexities involved. It isn't a simple transfer, so we may experience downtime.

Fingers crossed that all goes well.

I am going to need testers. A few of you have already expressed an interest in helping in this respect so please expect to hear from me on the boards!

In addition to about $75 not showing up in thethermometer, if you add my own $50 ($400 + $50) donation we have so farcollected $285 of the $450 needed.

So we're more than half way to reaching our target.

I have emailed ChipIn support to advise them of this issue and I have told them to fix this problem asap as it isn't at all accurate.

In fact, I am told that it is supposed to take only five minutes for the information to update on our website and having already received two donations quite a few hours ago, this is clearly not the case.

I will update as soon as I hear back from ChipIn support.
